25-Year-Old Man Killed In Crash During Heavy Rain On Highway 9 In Agassiz, B.C.

    AGASSIZ, B.C. — A man from Agassiz, B.C., has been identified as the victim of a single-vehicle crash on Highway 9 in the Fraser Valley community.
     
    RCMP say a 2007 Dodge Charger left the highway, struck a lamp standard and came to a stop in a treed area.
     
    The 25-year-old driver whose name hasn't been released was pronounced dead at the scene.
     
    Police say it was raining heavily at the time of the crash on Friday and that the roads were slippery.
     
    Cpl. Ronda McEwen says speed is being considered as a possible factor in the accident.
     
    McEwen says police are asking any witnesses to help them in the investigation.
