  • 250 COVID cases for Wednesday

There are 250 new cases of COVID in BC, including one epi-linked case, for a total of 142,886 cases in British Columbia for Wednesday. Fewest new cases since October 29. Lowest 7-day rolling average (327) since November 4. Fewest active cases since November 5.

There are 3,580 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, and a further 137,517 people who tested positive have recovered.

There are 296 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19, 97 of whom are in ICU. 

New cases by health authority Coastal - 84 Fraser - 109 Island - 9 Interior - 40 Northern - 8. Fraser Health is still driving the bulk of the cases and the Province via Twitter is trying to get around vaccine hesitency for that region of hte Lower Mainland. 

There have been 3 new COVID-19 related deaths, for a total of 1,683 deaths in British Columbia.

2,979,951 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to adults 18 and over in B.C., 152,010 of which are second doses. The province administered 52,464 doses of the vaccine yesterday, including 3,430 second doses.
