2 vehicle crash in Richmond

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 26 Jun, 2024 05:43 PM
  • 2 vehicle crash in Richmond

Mounties in Richmond say they're investigating a two-vehicle crash that injured two pedestrians.

They say it happened on Sunday when a Ford Edge S-U-V turned into a Toyota Tundra on Number 4 Road, then careened onto the sidewalk where three people were standing.

Two of the three pedestrians were badly hurt, although one has since been released from hospital with foot, leg and stomach injuries.

Police say impairment isn’t considered a factor, but investigators are hoping anyone who was near the crash scene at Number Four and Williams Road just after one o-clock in the afternoon will have more information.

Immigration Minister Marc Miller says Israel seemed to be on the verge of approving a program to get Palestinian relatives of Canadians out of the Gaza Strip before the country's invasion of the town of Rafah. Miller announced Monday an increase in the number of applications that will be processed for those leaving the Gaza Strip through that program, but his department isn't sure if any Palestinians have actually arrived in Canada through those means.
