2 Teenage Boys On Tire-Slashing Spree In Burnaby, New Westminster Arrested

    Two males aged 14 and 15 have been arrested and are facing charges of mischief in relation to a number of alleged tire slashing incidents that took place on Monday October 8, 2018 in Burnaby where in excess of 100 vehicles were affected.
     
     
    Both males were arrested without incident. Burnaby RCMP appreciates the work of our policing partners in Coquitlam and Maple Ridge in assisting with the arrests. 
     
     
    As this is an ongoing investigation, there is no further information to release at this time. 
     
     
    Earlier, investigators had released surveillance video showing two men suspected of slashing tires on as many as 105 vehicles in the same Burnaby, B.C., neighbourhood Sunday night.
     
     
    The majority of the targeted cars had been parked around the 7500 block of 12 Avenue overnight. RCMP said locals started calling RCMP about their damaged vehicles at about 10 a.m. Monday.
     
     
    Responding officers found several more vehicles with their tires ruined in the 7100 block of 10 Avenue.
