2 Surrey crashes land pedestrians in hospital

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 13 Feb, 2024 04:25 PM
  • 2 Surrey crashes land pedestrians in hospital

Police in Surrey say they're investigating two crashes that sent pedestrians to hospital with serious injuries just 90 minutes apart last night.

In the first incident, R-C-M-P say a man in his 40s was taken to hospital in critical condition after being hit by a semi-truck whose driver was co-operating with police.

Then, at about 10:30 P-M, police say officers responded to a report of a grey or black S-U-V striking a woman as it turned onto 122-A Street from 82nd Avenue.

The Mounties say the woman was hospitalized with severe injures to her lower body, while the smaller-model S-U-V stopped momentarily before fleeing the scene, and anyone with information is asked to call police.
