2 stabbed at Guildford Town Centre Mall

Surrey RCMP is currently on scene at the Guildford Town Centre Mall, in the Guildford area of Surrey, for a report of two people who have been stabbed.

On Wednesday, at approximately 1808 hours, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a double stabbing at the Guildford Town Centre Mall, located near 104 avenue and 152 street.

Upon arrival, officers located a 40 year female and a 35 year old male, both suffering from stab wounds. Both individuals were transported to a local area hospital where the female is listed in critical condition, while the male is currently stable.

Initial investigation revealed there was a confrontation between the victims and a single male aggressor. Officers are still on scene canvassing for witnesses and video.

The investigation is still in the very early stages and it is unknown if there is any prior relationship between the victims and the subject, or if this incident was targeted.

Anyone with more information, including video or dash cam footage, around the area of Guildford mall, between the hours of 1800 (6pm) and 1820hrs (6:20pm) is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.

Mounties in B.C.'s southern Interior say they're investigating a multi-vehicle crash that killed one person who's been identified as a university student. A statement from Kamloops RCMP says emergency responders were called to the crash at the intersection of McGill Road and University Drive just outside the Thompson Rivers University campus around 3 p.m. Thursday.
