2 Passengers Guide Ontario City Bus To Safety After Driver Has Seizure And Fell Unconscious: Police

    WOODSTOCK, Ont. — Police say two passengers drove a city bus to safety in southeastern Ontario after the driver had a seizure and fell unconscious.
     
    They say a 60-year-old woman driving a Woodstock Transit bus with about 10 passengers became ill at around 1:40 p.m. Saturday.
     
    Two passengers — a 74-year-old and 24-year-old — jumped into action when they noticed the woman was unconscious.
     
    Police say they removed the driver from behind the wheel, and one got in to steer while the other tended to the ailing woman.
     
    The passenger was able to stop the bus safely, and police responded within a minute and broke through the locked bus doors.
     
    They say there were no injuries and the bus driver is expected to fully recover.
