2 Men, 1 Woman Killed In Crash Near Merritt, B.C., Identified

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 11 Nov, 2015 12:07 PM
KELOWNA, B.C. — Three people who died when a U-Haul van crashed into a truck near Merritt, B.C., have been identified.

The BC Coroners Service says 40-year-old Sean Anderson, 26-year-old Kim Dunstan and her brother, 21-year-old Jarrett Dunstan, died at the scene.

The coroners service says Anderson was driving the rented van when it struck the back of a slow-moving truck carrying demolished cars about eight kilometres east of Merritt on Friday evening.

Investigators have said they aren't sure why the van ran into the back of the other vehicle because conditions were clear, the road was dry, and the truck's lights were working and on at the time of the collision.

Anderson and Jarrett Dunstan are from Westbank, B.C., and Kim Dunstan is from West Kelowna, B.C.

The coroners service and the RCMP are investigating the deaths.
