19-Yr-Old Surrey Man Stopped For Speeding, Arrested After Loaded Gun Found In Car

    19-year-old Surrey man Gurkamal Singh Khakh has been arrested by the B.C. gang task force after officers found a gun in his car.
     
    Khakh was stopped for speeding in a black Acura on Friday by officers during routine patrols near 132nd Street and 104 Avenue.
     
    Officers discovered a loaded 40 calibre pistol, magazine with ammunition, ski mask and gloves in the vehicle, CFSEU-BC said in a news release.
     
    He is scheduled to appear in Surrey Provincial Court wednesday at 2 p.m. 
     
    Sergeant Brenda Winpenny said Khakh is charged with one count of failing to comply with a court order, two counts of possession of a firearm without a licence and/or registration, two counts of possession of a firearm with an altered or removed serial number, two counts of possession of a loaded or unloaded prohibited or restricted firearm, and one count of occupying a vehicle knowing a firearm is present.
