19-Yr-Old Brampton Man Dilkirat Dhaliwal Arrested And Charged for Attempted Murder

    Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged a 19-year-old Brampton man in relation to a stabbing investigation.


    On Saturday, January 18, 2020, the victim, a 20-year-old man from Mississauga was at a convention centre in the area of Steeles Avenue East and Airport Road in the City of Brampton.


    At approximately 2:00 a.m., a large fight involving more than 10 people erupted in the parking lot of the convention centre. The suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim several times. The victim was transported to a trauma centre where it was determined that his injuries were serious but non-life threatening.


    On Thursday, January 23, 2020, members of the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau executed a search warrant at a Brampton address.


    As a result, Dilkirat Dhaliwal, a 19-year-old man from Brampton, was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder. He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice on Friday, January 24, 2020.
