15 year old in hospital after being stabbed on the grounds of a Delta elementary school

On Wednesday at 9:40 pm, Delta Police responded to a stabbing that occurred on the grounds of McCloskey Elementary School.

Upon arrival, officers provided first aid to a 15-year-old victim with stab wounds. The youth was transferred to a local hospital and is in stable condition. The injuries have been classified as non-life threatening.

The investigation has determined the victim was targeted. There is no known connection to any other high-profile assaults in the lower mainland involving youth.

While the incident occurred on school grounds, there is no connection to the school.

Police officers will be in the area today to continue the investigation and look to collect video.

If you were driving in the area of 116^th St and 80^th Ave on April 12^th, between 9:20 pm and 9:50 pm, and you have dash camera video, our investigators would like to hear from you. Driver allegedly bear-sprayed in road rage incident in Richmond, suspect described as a South Asian male

According to the victim, a black Hyundai sedan was driving closely behind him through the Massey Tunnel and both vehicles exited Hwy 99 on the Steveston Hwy off-ramp. The victim stated at this point, both he and the other driver stopped and exited their vehicles, which is when the driver of the Hyundai allegedly sprayed the victim with bear spray.
