  • 100 UBC students accused of cheating on online math exam reveals investigation

With COVID19 the classes and exams being virtual has resulted in UBC students being caught for cheating. The University started an investigation after more than 100 students were accused of cheating on their math midterm exam a few days ago.

The probe became public after a post from a students's teacher was posted online Monday. "I am extremely disappointed to tell you that there were over 100 cases of cheating," read the note, If confirmed, the students involved will receive a 0% for the course (not just the midterm) and I will recommend their expulsion from UBC."

Director of University Affairs, Matthew Ramsey, confirmed the university is looking into accusations of rampant cheating. He stated that its too early to say how the students might have been cheating or how they were caught.
