Police in Metro Vancouver are looking for witnesses to a serious crash that sent one person to hospital yesterday morning.
Delta Police say it happened along River Road at around 8 a-m, when a white Volkswagen Jetta collided with a semi-truck.
They say the car became wedged under the trailer, critically injuring the driver.
Police are asking any witnesses and anyone with dash-camera footage from the area at the time of the crash to contact them.
New projections by Statistics Canada suggest the nation's population could reach 63 million by 2073, with the number of people aged 85 or older set to triple. Police are still investigating the cause of death of a woman whose body was found at a Kelowna park on Friday. Mounties say the 28-year-old was found on the shores of Okanagan Lake in Waterfront Park.
