Delta police are investigating after a targeted shooting sent one person to hospital.

Police say the shooting happened at around 5:45 p-m yesterday at 82nd Avenue between 110th and 112th streets.

Initial investigation indicates that the shooting was related to the ongoing gang conflict in B-C, and the public is not at risk.

Police say the unidentified victim has been taken to hospital for unspecified injuries related to the shooting and is being treated.
