Police in Burnaby say an early morning car crash on Imperial Street has left one person in hospital in critical condition.

Burnaby R-C-M-P say the crash happened around 1:30 a-m, when a vehicle with a driver and two passengers hit a parked semi-truck.

Mounties say the other passenger suffered minor injuries and the crash is now under investigation by the detachment's Criminal Collision Investigation Team.

Police say they believe impaired driving may have been a factor, and they're seeking dash-cam footage from anyone who may have been around Imperial and Willingdon between 1 and 1:30 a-m on Sunday.
