Women Economic Forum comes to Vancouver with VISAFF

Darpan News Desk, 10 Nov, 2017 12:01 PM
  • Women Economic Forum comes to Vancouver with VISAFF
An associate of All Ladies League (ALL), the Women’s Economic Forum (WEF) is a global conference to foster empowering conversations and connections among women committed to promoting constructive changes in all walks of life.

WEF is much more than a regular business conference. It's filled with an uplifting energy of "yes, we all can." Aimed at empowering women economically for their stronger leadership, WEF enables massive global exposure and access to connections worldwide to help grow businesses internationally, raise funds, encourage new start-ups, gain knowledge about new trends in technology and innovations and enable creative collaborations.

The main theme for WEF 17 is “Creating, Innovating, Understanding and Driving the Future.” The agenda encompasses 36 vertical themes plus 5 verticals on B2B, Corporate presentations, Country presentations,  Workshops/Masterclasses and Start-Ups/Entrepreneurship shared over 500 sessions in cities around the world.

During the WEF forums, individual delegates as well as corporates and country representatives are invited to share their business expertise, their learning, their stories, their inspiration, their drive and focus and their message or cause as a speaker, panelist or moderator in any of these verticals.

Dr. Harbeen Arora is the global chairperson for the WEF across the world. She believes WEF’s committed outreach over the years has made her realize that there's so much goodness, talent and inspiration across the world and all we need to do for our greater collective strength and upliftment is to tap into it.

Mannu Sandhu who is the coordinator for WEF British Columbia, Canada (Nov 16-19th 2017 )and ALL Chair British Columbia, Canada added that she was proud to have been able to bring Women Economic Forum to British Columbia for the first time. She truly believed it will become the hub for women empowerment and inclusion.

The WEF is happening in Vancouver from November 16-19 in conjunction with the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival.
