  • Surrey Board of Trade Raises Over $12,500 and 55 lbs of Food for the Surrey Food Bank

Surrey’s business community gave generously at the Surrey Board of Trade’s annual Seasonal Sizzle Business Reception on December 5. The event raised over $12,500 and 555 pounds of food for the Surrey Food Bank, in partnership with The Full Cupboard.

The event was sponsored by Balraj Mann of BM Group of Companies. His son Milan Mann and wife were also present at the event. Envision Financial was also a sponsor.

Over 500 business people attended the annual holiday event, donating to the Surrey Food Bank in lieu of admission fees.

"Thank you to all of the business representatives that attended this annual holiday,” said Anita Huberman, President & CEO, Surrey Board of Trade. “The Surrey Food Bank provides food to families living in Surrey and North Delta and have been facing increased demand for their services as inflation surges. Businesses have a role to give back to the community and help those in need."

Donations can be made online.
