Get ready for the largest three days wedding extravaganza, featuring top international bridal designers and exhibitors. Raasleela Bridal Fashion Week 2017 is taking place on April 7 to 9 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. The exciting event, organized by well-known designer duo Parvesh and Jai and Bharti Art Jewellers, will be dazzled with a spectacular eruption of South Asian and Bollywood fashion. This diverse and multi-cultural experience brings the nation’s best bridal designers, jewellers and wedding vendors together under one umbrella.

Parvesh and Jai will present three shows at the Bridal Fashion Week. “Last year we showcased bridal womenswear, this year our target is to showcase fusion bridals for women, and formal, western and Indian looks for males. We are focusing more on highlighting menswear this year,” says Jai.

Talking about the collection, their womenswear will have a colour palette comprising of “nude shades with tonal work and dark colours with gold and silver highlights on it.” As for the menswear, the collection will include cleaner and neat cuts with fabric treatments in different types of fabric texture creations, like laser cut and embossing.

Their third show will be for special kids from BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. Parvesh and Jai have partnered with BC Children’s Hospital to create outfits for a few of these children. “We always had a soft corner for those special kids. This will definitely increase their confidence and boost their energy level,” say the designers, adding that a partial raise of the event will go to the hospital.

Various renowned designers, from Canada and India, will be showcasing their newest collections to the audience. Some of the designers taking part in the Raasleela Bridal Fashion Week are Rabani & Rakha, Shashank Prajwal, Pammi Singh, and Mayanka Gupta, among others. The Fashion Week kicks off in style with a VIP reception, opening gala on April 7, attended by celebrities and distinguished members of the community. Renowned national and international designers, jewellers and wedding vendors will exhibit and showcase their collection on runway for the next two days on April 8 and 9.
