Milestones donates $4,600 to Surrey Fire Fighters

    Milestones Guildford management in partnership with the Surrey Firefighters Charitable Society hosted a celebration fundraiser in support of the herculean effort and support of the Surrey, BC Firefighters. 
     
    The Guildford location was able to raise $4,600; the restaurant donating 10% fo their sales in combination with the staff donating their evening tips.  There was also silent auction sponors ranging from the Vancouver Canucks and Whitecaps to organiations such as the Langley Business Improvement Association.  
     
    The atmosphere was electric with live performances from the band “Her Brothers” and live drum show, “DESTINEAK.”  Milestones--with support from all BC specific locations—have now raised a total of over $126,000 in support of a variety of charities in the last 5 years. 
     
    Some prominemnt members in attendance were:
    • Surrey Mayor Linda Hepner who spoke at the event
    • Surrey City Council Members:Tom Gill, Vera Lefranc, Dave Woods, Mike Starchuk
     
    Milestones Guildford is always connecting with the community through various outreach events, partnerships and fundraising programs. Hostng a special night like this really speaks to community engagement that the brand has made a focus in recent yearts. Steve Pelton, Sr. Vice President says, “We are proud to name the Surrey Fire Fighters Charitable Society as our charity of choice for our Guildford location. The work they do is incredibly important as they work to fulfill the needs that are not met in the Surrey community with a special focus on Surrey’s children, youth & families.”
