BC Liberal critic for health shares message on World Aids Day

Darpan News Desk BC Liberals, 01 Dec, 2020 11:08 PM
  • BC Liberal critic for health shares message on World Aids Day

Renee Merrifield, BC Liberal Critic for Health, released the following statement in recognition of World AIDS Day: “Today we wear red ribbons to raise awareness and show support of people living with HIV and AIDS. “We must also reflect on all those who we have lost to this disease and commit to forging ahead in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

“British Columbia has long been a leader in HIV research in the search for a cure as well as effective treatments and prevention. We have come so far, but there is still further to go".

“On behalf of the BC Liberal Caucus, I want to extend our gratitude to all the researchers, doctors, nurses, and community organizations who are working to support patients living with HIV and AIDS. “Let’s continue to work together, raise awareness, and fight the stigma that far too many people still face today.”
