11 year old Surrey girl Sia Sidhu winner of Top 25 under 25 award

  • 11 year old Surrey girl Sia Sidhu winner of Top 25 under 25 award

A very proud moment for the entire South Asian community as an 11 year old girl is the youngest winner of the prestigious Surrey's Top 25 Under 25 award winners. 

Sia Sidhu is the brainchild behind Sia’s Burger Shack. Sia's Burger Shack is run out of her home in Panorma Ridge in Surrey. 

The goal of the awards are to celebrate “the incredible initiatives of Surrey’s youth 25 years old or younger.” The winners were chosen on a number of criteria such as  business or community achievements, leadership ability, community involvement, professional achievements, and uniqueness of their business or community projects.

It has been 5 years since Sia has been opertaing an annual fundraiser from her home. The proceeds go to the BC Children's Hospital. 

In 2015, she started Sia’s Lemonade Stand and raised $300 for Delta View Centre, 

As for a future career path she hopes to pursue broadcasting or politics.
