William And Kate To Host Kensington Palace Dinner For Obamas

The Canadian Press, 18 Apr, 2016 11:01 AM
LONDON — President Barack Obama has a royal dinner date.

Kensington Palace says Prince William, his wife Kate and his brother Prince Harry will hold a dinner for the president and first lady Michelle Obama during the U.S. leader's visit to Britain this week.

The royals' office said that "their Royal Highnesses are very much looking forward to welcoming President and Mrs. Obama to Kensington Palace."

William and Kate have met the Obamas several times before, with William visiting the president in the White House during a visit to the U.S. in 2014.

The Obamas are also scheduled to have lunch with Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle Friday, the day after the queen's 90th birthday. The president will also hold talks with Prime Minister David Cameron during his three-day visit.
