VIDEO: UP Man Enters Packed Eatery, Shoots Owner And Walks Out In Filmy Style

IANS, 30 Jul, 2018 11:51 AM
In what could have passed off as a scene from a Bollywood thriller, a man walked into a packed restaurant in Uttar Pradesh, shot its owner and walked out in a filmy style.

The man was shot thrice, but survived the attack and is admitted to a hospital. It was a regular evening at Sultanpur's Avantica restaurant. Alok Arya was manning the cash counter and speaking to a few men. People around the restaurant are seen enjoying their meal.

Then a man in a white shirt over a pair of blue jeans and a 'gamchha' around his neck coolly reached the counter, pulled out a pistol, fired at Arya, and left. A few men tried to stop him, but failed.

The CCTV camera installed near the counter captured the sequence of events.

Arya managed to walk out of the bay, but collapsed. A big red stain on his chest looked especially bright against his white shirt. The restaurant staff took him away.

Police said that they have identified the man and have taken three persons into custody. The accused is said to be a local contractor.
