Victim Of Fatal, Targeted Vancouver Shooting Known To Investigators

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 17 May, 2016 12:15 PM
VANCOUVER — One man is dead in what a Vancouver Police spokesman says is a targeted shooting.

Sgt. Randy Fincham says the attack occurred in the city's south Cambie neighbourhood at about 10:30 Monday night.

Fincham says area residents reported hearing numerous shots in the 500 block of West 27 Avenue.

Officers arrived to find a silver vehicle partially mounting a curb and the victim inside.

The name of the man has not been released but Fincham says he is known to police.

Members of the city's major crime section remained at the scene overnight and investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
