Toys 'R' Us Canada Names 12-Year-Old Boy From Quebec As New 'Chief Play Officer'

    TORONTO — A 12-year-old boy from St-Bruno, Que., has been selected as "chief play officer" for Toys "R" Us Canada.
     
    His job is to try out products, make recommendations and take part in media appearances and events.
     
    The toy retailer picked Emile Burbidge after parents and guardians from across Canada helped kids apply.
     
    He takes over from Alex Thorne of Pickering, Ont., who had the job from August 2013 until last December.
