Darpan News Desk IANS, 23 Sep, 2016 11:50 AM
Three Indian students have won an all-expense paid six-day holiday in South Korea on the basis of essays they wrote on the East Asian nation in a competition that saw the participation of 11,446 students from 434 Schools across the country.

The results of the competition, organised by the Korean Culture Centre (KCC), were declared here on Thursday.

Narayan Dutt Bahuguna from Doon International School (Dehradun) bagged the first prize. Anoushka Gogoi from Army Public School (Guwahati) and Kaushambi Vats Mata Jai Kaur Public School (New Delhi) won the second and third prizes respectively.

"A unique and unprecedented project, the India Korea Friendship Essay Competition succeeded in bringing out heart-touching expressions in the form of essays from the Indian students," said KCC Director Kim Kum-pyoung.

"Some wrote emotionally, some drew beautiful images, some used poetry, but surely all poured their hearts out," he added.
