Third student dies after shooting incident in US school

Darpan News Desk IANS, 27 Oct, 2014 07:17 AM
One of four students wounded during last week's shooting at a US high school has died in hospital, the NBC television network reported, quoting medical sources.

The death of Gia Soriano, 14, with a head wound, brings the number of dead to three, including the alleged perpetrator, Jaylen Fryberg, 15, who committed suicide following the shootings Friday.

Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, 14, remains in a critical condition, along with Andrew Fryberg, 15, and Nate Hatch, 14, at the Harborview Medical Centre in Seattle, Washington, according to the sources.

The shootings occurred Friday at Pilchuck High School in Marysville, Washington, when Jaylen Fryberg opened fire in the school's cafeteria as students were having breakfast, killing a female student.

Several witnesses told the media that the probable motive was an unhappy love affair.
