Sikh Outfit To Gherao UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Mohan Bhagwat During US Visit

IANS, 04 Sep, 2018 12:06 AM
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and UP CM Yogi Adityanath are likely to be greeted with protests during their September 7-9 visit to Chicago (US) as the Sikh Coordination Committee East Coast has started mobilising its cadres against the right-wing leaders.

The New York-based committee has also called upon members of other Sikh outfits to join them in the protest.

Bhagwat and Yogi are scheduled to meet Indian community leaders at a hotel in Lombard (Chicago). Along with posters depicting its gherao call, the Sikh committee has issued two caricatures showing Sikhs chasing Bhagwat and Yogi holding placard reading ‘we won’t come again’.

The panel has accused the duo of promoting Hindutva at cost of Sikhism.
