SEE PICS AND VIDEOS: Punjabi Culture Showcased In California Fair

IANS, 13 Jul, 2018 01:05 PM

When it comes to fun and fairs, no one can beat Punjabis. This was once again showcased at the county fair recently held at Solano County in California.

Punjabi-American Cultural Association (PACA) put up a colourful stall to showcase the vibrancy and ethnicity of the ‘Apna Punjab’ culture at the fairgrounds.

A bustling Punjabi village was set up with beautiful mud houses. The visitors felt amused to witness the daily lives of villagers in Punjab.

They could not resist the offer of churned ‘lassi’ and ‘sarson da saag’. Some members even sat on traditional ‘charpais’ depicting the discussions being held by villagers at the common place.

The visitors felt amused by the colourful turbans and even wore them. Some folk artists sang Punjabi folk songs that left the visitors mesmerised and some even danced to their ‘dhol’ beats.
