  • Saudi Arabia reports two deaths, 10 new MERS cases
Saudi Arabia Wednesday announced two deaths from Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) coronavirus infections, bringing the toll to 117.
 
It also reported 10 new cases, half of which are in Riyadh, raising the total number of cases to 431, according to Xinhua. Four infected patients were declared fully recovered.
 
Of the new cases, five were in intensive care, three were being treated at normal wards and two were without symptoms. 
 
Of the remaining new cases, two were in Jeddah, and one each in Mecca, Taif and Medina.
 
The two deaths were of a woman, 68, in Jeddah and a man, 60, in Medina.
