Rajasthan Police Denies Missing Pakistani Boy In Its Custody

    Police in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan on Monday denied that any boy from Pakistan was lodged in any of its police stations. The district borders Pakistan.
     
    Pakistani boy Tufail Ismail, who went missing from his home in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan two years ago at the age of five, had been found in India, Dawn online had quoted his father Zafar Ali as saying on Sunday. 
     
     
    "For the last eight months such rumours are doing the rounds. This boy is not in our district, not in any of our police stations," Sri Ganganagar Superintendent of Police Rahul Katakey told IANS by phone.
     
    "It is just an Internet rumour doing the rounds. Social networking sites have queried about this boy. I completely deny this," said Katakey.
     
    Ismail had got separated from his family in June 2014 in Charsadda district. 
     
    The family searched for Ismail everywhere and registered a missing complaint with police the next day, quoted the boy's father as saying.
