Police Arrest Another Nabha Jail Break Accused Sulakhan Singh

    Another gangster involved in the sensational Nabha jailbreak incident was arrested by the Punjab Police here on Saturday.
     
    "Sulakhan Singh alias Babbar Sultan was arrested from Nawanshahr bus stand at around 10.30 am," IG, Jalandhar Zone, Arpit Shukla said, adding the gangster was not carrying any weapons at the time of his arrest.
     
    Sulakhan, a resident of Mattewal village, has been booked for his alleged role in as many as eight criminal cases, he said.
     
    Sukhchain Singh alias Sukhi, who played a key role in the incident, was arrested at Patiala recently.
     
    According to the police, Sulakhan along with his three other accomplices in police uniforms had stormed the maximum security Nabha jail on November 27 last year. The armed group had managed to free six prisoners -- Harminder Singh Mintoo and Kashmir Singh, both terrorists, and gangsters Dhotian, Vicky Gounder, Gurpreet Sekhon and Neeta Deol.
     
    The IG said during the preliminary interrogation, the suspect revealed that four cars were also used during the crime.
     
    Nawanshahr SSP Satwinder Singh said Sulakhan was arrested while waiting for the bus for his further journey. He had arrived from Jalandhar in a bus, police said.
     
    Out of the six escapees, Harminder Singh Mintu, Gurpreet Singh Sekhon, Kulpreet Singh Neeta and Aman Dhotian have been arrested.
