US President Barack Obama and Ed Miliband, leader of the British opposition Labour Party, Monday affirmed the strong ties that bind the US and Britain, the White House said in a statement.
The president made the affirmation while joining his National Security Advisor Susan Rice's meeting with Miliband, Xinhua quoted the statement as saying.
Miliband and Rice discussed issues of shared concern, including the Ukraine situation, Gaza crisis, and Iraq, the White House said.
Obama met Miliband during his visit to London in May 2011.
