NEWSFLASH: 6.1 magnitude quake hits Japan

    A quake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted southwest Japan early Friday, the country's meteorological agency said.
     
    The temblor, which struck at around 2:07 a.m., had a depth of 80km, Xinhua reported.
     
    Meanwhile, no tsunami warnings were issued. Also, there was no immediate report of damage to property or any casualty.
