'Naav Pe Charcha' : PM Modi And Francois Hollande Go On Boat Ride On Seine River

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi, French President Francois Hollande as well as French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and senior French government officials went on a boat ride along the Seine river, a la "nav pe charcha".
     
    After talks between Modi and Hollande, and the inking of 17 agreements as well as announcement of India purchasing 36 Rafale fighter jets in fly away condition as soon as possible, the leaders embarked on a boat ride on the Seine.
     
    Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar had termed it a "nav pe charcha" - talks on the boat.
     
    Modi had earlier held a "chai pe charcha" - talks over tea - when US President Barack Obama had visited New Delhi in January.

    OTTAWA — A senior Canadian government official says he adamantly rejects a Kurdish account of a friendly-fire incident in Iraq that saw peshmerga fighters kill one Canadian soldier and wound three others.
