Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. Dec 6, and the winner of the readers poll will be announced on Dec 8. Time's Person of the Year will be announced Dec. 10, the magazine said.

As of now, Modi ranks second in the list of readers choice while Russian President Vladimir Putin tops the list.
