Indian man jailed for molesting minor in Bahrain

Darpan News Desk IANS, 28 Nov, 2014 12:39 PM
An Indian man has been jailed for three years for molesting a minor girl in Bahrain, media reported Friday.

The 31-year-old Indian man, a cafeteria employee, was jailed by the High Criminal Court Thursday for kissing an 11-year-old Bahraini schoolgirl at a cafeteria in East Riffa, near capital Manama, when she was ordering breakfast, the Gulf Daily News reported Friday.

The child told prosecutors that the defendant gave her one Bahraini dirham after kissing her.

"I was buying a sandwich from a cafeteria after my school exams and he grabbed me by my cheeks and kissed me on my lips," the 11-year-old said in her statement to prosecutors.
