Indian Businessman To Hold Food Festival In Melbourne's Suburb

Darpan News Desk IANS, 01 Nov, 2015 02:13 PM
An Indian-origin businessman will organise a food festival in Melbourne's suburb of Wyndham Vale on November 28 and 29, which will see Indian delicacies being served from 20 trucks at the local President's Park, a media report said.

Tejas Patel, organiser of the Wyndham Food Truck Festival, said he wanted to hold the festival because there hadn't been anything like it in Wyndham before, the Melbourne Leader reported on Saturday.

"Everyone loves the food. There's a real trend with people wanting to eat food from food trucks instead of going to restaurants," Patel was quoted as saying.

He said he was expecting about 8,000 people to attend the festival each day.

Besides food, there will be entertainment, including bands and DJs, magicians, Brazilian dances and children's rides.
