Imran Khan asks Sharif to speak up against border firing

Darpan News Desk IANS, 09 Oct, 2014 06:30 AM
Pakistani cricketer turned politician Imran Khan has asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif why he is not speaking up against Indian "aggression" along the frontier in Jammu and Kashmir.

"The nation is looking for a leader in the present circumstances. But where are you, Nawaz Sharif? Why are you silent on the Indian aggression on the LoC and the US drone strikes in tribal areas," Dawn online quoted the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief as saying at a protest rally here.

"Although we want friendly relations with our neighbours, we cannot allow anyone to commit such aggression against the innocent people of this country," Khan said.
