'Fake News Media Hates When I Use' Twitter: Trump

IANS, 16 Jun, 2017 10:42 PM

Continuing his tirade against the media outlets, U.S. President Donald Trump said that the "fake news media" does not like him using "very powerful" Twitter to address his supporters.

"The Fake News Media hates when I use what has turned out to be my very powerful Social Media - over 100 million people! I can go around them," Trump tweeted.

Listing out the work done by him, Trump said "Witch Hunt going on in America, the economic & jobs numbers are great. Regulations way down, jobs and enthusiasm way up!"

He has argued that the social media site allows him to skirt traditional news sources that he claims treat him unfairly. President Trump even confirmed that he is under investigation for firing former FBI director James Comey.

In a tweet, Trump said he's "being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director!"

Trump has been criticizing media reports that special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating him for obstruction of justice as a part of a wider probe into alleged meddling by Russia in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion between the Kremlin and Trump's campaign.
