Donald Trump And Melania Release First Official White House Christmas Portrait

    United States President Donald Trump appeared alongside wife Melania Trump in a Christmas portrait posted on Twitter today, taken at the White House.
     
    The couple appear wearing black, holding hands and sporting huge grins, in the portrait.
     
    First Lady Melania wears a mid-length black dress with a sequinned embellishments. Her look is accentuated by black pointed stiletto shoes, no accessories.
     
    Trump wears a black bow tie, a black tuxedo style suit and a white dress shirt, finished with black shiny shoes.
     
    The US president, earlier in the day, made a speech at the White House to talk about deregulation made under his administation. His daughter and advisor, Ivanka, was present during the speech.
     
    Melania, however, was conspicuous by her absence.
     
    Trump also cut a red ribbon beside stacks of paper depicting regulations in 1960 and present day to underline the changes made, in what was intended as a symbolic move. 
     
    Fans took to Twitter to react to the picture and wish the real estate magnate, 71, and the former model, 47, well.
