  • Diwali Celebrated In European Parliament
For the first time, Diwali has been celebrated in the European Parliament here.
 
A British member of Indian origin of the parliament, Neena Gill, hosted the event along with the Hindu Forum of Europe. 
 
The Monday night event brought together MEPs from different political groupings as well as celebrities from several European countries and far away places such as Indonesia and Congo. 
 
Indian ambassador to the EU and Belgium, Manjeev Singh Puri, also attended the Diwali gathering.
