Chandigarh Man Visiting Son In Australia Killed In Road Mishap

    A 66-year-old Chandigarh-based man, who was visiting his son in Australia, was killed in a road accident in Perth on Monday afternoon.

     

    Gurjit Singh was travelling with his elder brother Daljit Singh, 69, and nephew Guneet Singh, 22, when the vehicle, Toyota Camry, they were travelling in, was crushed between two trucks in south of Perth.

     

    Gurjit Singh died on the spot, while Guneet suffered a major fracture on his leg and Daljit sustained minor injuries. Guneet would undergo a surgery at Royal Perth Hospital today.

    Harpreet Singh, Gurjit’s son, is yet to decide on whether to repatriate his father’s body to India.

     

    Gurjit, who lived in Sector 49, used to visit his son every few years.
