'Afghans Will Do Anything It Takes To Have A Sikh Leader In Parliament'

IANS, 03 Jul, 2018 10:16 PM
Afghanistan's Ambassador to India Dr Shaida Abdali has condemned the recent Jalalabad suicide bombing that killed 19 people, including 17 Afghan Sikhs.

Speaking to media he called Avatr Singh Khalsa, a true patriot and urged the Sikh community to ensure terrorists are defeated by sending their representative to the Afghan Parliament.

The Ambassador also conveyed his National Security Adviser's message to Sikh community members in Delhi this morning who expressed their solidarity with Afghan Sikhs. Abdali also suggested that the needle of suspicion points to Pakistani support to the attack claimed by ISIS.

A large number of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) activists under the leadership of the DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK protested near the Afghanistan Embassy here on Tuesday against the killing of Sikhs in Afghanistan.
