What Kareena Kapoor And Saif Ali Khan Have To Say About Taimur-Inspired Doll

IANS, 23 Nov, 2018 02:09 PM

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s son Taimur Ali Khan has been breaking the internet with multiple photos and people can’t seem to get enough of him.

Now, latching on to his widespread popularity, a toy company has started to roll out Taimur dolls! Yes, there’s now a toy of blue-eyed prince of the Pataudi royal family, who is going to celebrate his second birthday next month.

Dressed in a white kurta, navy blue pyjamas and a matching jacket, the photo of the doll with blue eyes went viral recently on Twitter, when someone spotted the doll at a toy store in Kerala. With thick, curly brown hair, the doll bears an uncanny resemblance to the toddler and got everyone talking online.

As the image went viral, indianexpress.com got in touch with the doll’s manufacturer Speed Age Toys & Games to confirm if the doll really existed.

“Yes, we have recently launched a doll named Taimur,” Vijay Jain, proprietor of Daman-based Speed Age Corporation, said over the telephone. He refused to divulge any more details about the doll.

The doll is presently available for Rs 1,400 on the FirstCry website if you’re interested. It’s not available on online retailers like Amazon and Flipkart yet.

Saif Ali Khan was asked about the Taimur-inspired toys separately by Hindustan Times and the Baazaar actor said (in jest): "Maybe I should trademark his name... The least they could do is send me one." Saif Ali Khan also added: "I am glad people are benefiting from him. I only ask God for his safety and happiness in return."

Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Kareena also added: "...They should understand that he's just a two-year-old child (born in December 2016) and needs a normal life. Both Saif and I are struggling to give him that and will continue to do so without telling the paparazzi to back off, no matter how annoying it gets after a point."
