Top Indian businessman Anand Mahindra shared a clip of a group of Finnish women dancing to Bollywood music Katrina Kaif’s 2016 number Nachde Ne Saare from Baar Baar Dekho at the Mahindra Group’s 2017 M101 Conference — the annual gathering of group’s top 101 leaders in Helsinki, Finland.
Mahindra posted the video on Twitter saying, “You’re going to be as tickled by this as I was. The pre-dinner entertainment last night at our leadership conclave in Helsinki was some bindaas dancing by the Bollybeats—a group of Finnish ladies! And the PM of Finland had a ball seeing their performance. India’s soft power..”

Even though Bollywood dance classes are quite popular in the West, there are many who love Indian classical dances and music. At the show, one Finnish woman also wowed the audience with her Kathak performance. The woman danced to Madhuri Dixit’s famous semi-classical song Dhai shyam rok le from Devdas, which was choreographed by Kathak maestro Birju Maharaj.
But it wasn’t all Filmi dancing. This graceful Finnish dancer is a student of kathak and rendered an accomplished performance! Amazing that a nation of just 5m people has individuals with such diverse global appetites.. pic.twitter.com/7hLZtQCWt9
