WATCH: 'Noisy' Punjabi Family In Canada Greets Raiding Punjabi Cops With Song

Darpan News Desk IANS, 26 Nov, 2018 07:15 PM

When a noisy Punjabi family in Canada was interrupted by some cops who had come around to see what the noise was about, they broke into a song. Why? Because the cops themselves were Punjabi!

The family started wooing their fellow “’Punjabi Canadians”’ in uniform by cheering and singing in Punjabi. Take a look at this video, now viral and posted by @ikaveri on Twitter and tell us what you think of the cops’ reaction. “Punjabi household was reported for noise disturbance in Canada. This is how they reacted when they saw the policemen were Punjabi as well. Incorrible!” says i@kaveri

The video clip, which has been viewed 1,36,000 times, shows a Punjabi man singing about being a proud Punjabi and the police raiding his house also being Punjabi.

The song starts by saying Maan Punjabi Hai, Mera Pyaar Punabi hai....and concludes by saying ‘Police Punjabi Hai’ to what seemed like very obviously embarrassed ‘Punjabi’ Canadian cops who were only trying to get the noisy gathering to quieten down.

Some people on Twitter were quite tickled by this incident and found it endearing, while others were not so amused.

“Being a nuisance in your neighborhood is nothing to be proud of. Can't see the humor in this.”

“Folks taking pride in this. This is not 'Punjabiyat'; this is shameful behaviour, esp if you've been reported for causing noise & disturbing the neighbourhood ,” wrote another.
