'Atrocious' YouTube Singing Sensation Dhinchak Pooja May Get Arrested By Police, But Not For Singing

Darpan News Desk IANS, 28 Jun, 2017 12:33 PM

YouTube star Dhinchak Pooja has landed in trouble with the Delhi Traffic Police but it’s not for her songs, as many would expect to be the case.

A Twitter user, Mohit Singh, alerted the police on Tuesday that she flouted traffic rules by not wearing a helmet in her latest song ‘Dilon Ka Shooter’, where she is seen riding through the streets of Delhi on a red scooter, and singing loudly.

The Delhi police tweeted back saying that action will be taken.

While we are not sure if Dhinchak Pooja (whose iconic song 'Selfie Maine Leli Aaj' has 17 million views on youtube) will be arrested, we are certain that this isn't the end of the road for her career.

Ms. Pooja has been trolled widely on the internet but she and her 'Swag Wali Topi' don't seem to care as all the attention she's receiving is raking in the moolah.

On being asked how much Pooja earns by a curious Quora user, another user answered that she could be earning around three lakhs to 50 lakhs in a month based on basic Google advertisement rates.

However, the Indian Express reports that another user has stated that the rates for India are lower and according to his calculations, she should be earning around Rs 3 lakh a month.

This just goes to prove that not only is Dhinchak Pooja a cringe pop superstar, she is also a canny businessman.

While the Internet was buzzing with a lot of memes and jokes after the song was launched, one video has particularly caught Netizen’s eyes, which has Shah Rukh Khan reacting to her song.

Well, the 35-second-video is a mashup of the song and a scene from SRK’s Chak de India. The 51-year-old actor’s expressions are so on-point that you’ll instantly connect with it.
