America’s Fatburger now in India

Darpan News Desk IANS, 22 Aug, 2014 11:51 AM
American burger chain Fatburger is set to launch in the country, with its first location being in the busy Cyber Hub area here.

It will be inaugurated in the last week of August.

The outlet has adjusted the menu to suit Indian cultural and taste preferences. It has incorporated chicken and lamb burgers in its menu as well as given a significant emphasis on vegetarian options.

Several new menu items also use the traditional flavours and spices of India like the Amritsari Onion Rings.

“Though Fatburger is famous for its freshly made burgers, we have so much to offer to our global fans in terms of variety and flexibility in our vegetarian and non-vegetarian flavour options,” Fatburger CEO Andy Wiederhorn said in a statement.

Mussarat Kang, head operations for Vazz Foods Pvt. Ltd, the master franchisee for Fatburger, said they “had a lot of fun exploring new menu concepts for our first location, and we anticipate great success in sharing the Fatburger standard of quality coupled with freshly made to order burgers with residents in the market.”

The burger chain has over 155 locations globally in places like Dubai and Kuwait, as also in Canada.
