A two-month-old baby, having Australian citizenship and in New Delhi on a short term e-visa with her Indian mother, was on Thursday allowed to extend her stay following intervention by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj so that she can "celebrate Diwali with her family".
The baby's mother Aditi Chandak, who holds an Indian passport, had appealed to Ms Swaraj to extend the baby's stay in India so that they could celebrate Diwali in New Delhi.
